About the position

The Senior Principal Consultant - Data Governance at Genpact is responsible for overseeing data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, and managing critical data elements within the organization. This role involves establishing data quality scorecards, monitoring data attributes, and facilitating processes for data registration and certification. The consultant will work closely with various teams to enhance data management practices and ensure compliance with governance policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify critical data elements that would fall under data governance.
• Complete data profiling and set baseline for Data Quality.
• Establish data quality scorecards to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Identify data into Enterprise Data Model (EDM) and recommend additional Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Complete data cataloging for all data attributes in EDM.
• Identify end-to-end lineage for data attributes in the EDM and document it.
• Monitor data quality in an automated manner and report anomalies.
• Manage user access effectively using the console in the build process.
• Monitor data on the data lake.
• Facilitate the design of processes for data registration of new data.
• Ensure proactive data monitoring for existing data in the data lake.
• Write policies around the management of CDEs.
• Facilitate the design of processes that certify data sets for specific purposes.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in data governance and data quality management.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with data cataloging and data lineage tools.
• Familiarity with data lake architectures and data monitoring processes.
