About the position

The Data Governance / Enterprise Data Management position at PGE focuses on establishing and operationalizing a comprehensive data governance program within Power Operations. This role is essential for ensuring data quality, ownership, and effective management practices that align with the company's mission of promoting social, economic, and environmental progress through innovative clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operationalize the Power Operations data governance program including the Data Governance Charter, PACE model, and operational model.
• Oversee the creation of key Data Governance deliverables such as data glossary, data lineage, data ownership, data flow diagrams, and process diagrams.
• Represent Power Operations within Enterprise Data Management.
• Facilitate data quality issues and manage incident and problem management processes.
• Conduct business working sessions to establish current state and future state improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight or more years of experience in a related field.
• Expert knowledge of major corporate applications and associated integrations.
• Expert knowledge of Accounting and Finance business processes and policies.
• Advanced knowledge of internal controls, including SOX requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with energy markets, ISO/RTOs, and power transmission scheduling.
• Familiarity with financial processes such as settlement and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and IT change management best practices.
