Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer - Hardware Architect with a focus on hardware architecture, COTS software solutions, network engineering, and Information Technology (IT) systems engineering. This position will be based out of our Rancho Bernardo, CA location. The role involves developing and maintaining detailed system architecture documentation for complex IT systems, functioning as an interface between Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team and the Hardware Infrastructure team, and utilizing the Deficiency Report (DR) in accordance with the Software Review Board (SRB) process to determine hardware content for Agile Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) releases. The successful candidate will recommend design improvements via the Change Request (CR) process, work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment closely with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in a lab and production environment, and collaborate with other engineers to architect a system to meet design requirements and stakeholder needs. Responsibilities also include reviewing support requests from the field, providing troubleshooting steps, creating DRs for future IFC solutions, reviewing drawings and system build instructions, coordinating teams to upgrade lab systems, and developing internal software tools to improve the process of organizing, documenting, and visualizing information.
