About the position

The Senior Principal II Systems Engineer at BAE Systems is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to develop advanced electronic warfare solutions. This role focuses on enhancing mission survivability through next-generation threat detection and countermeasure technologies. The position requires full-time onsite work, emphasizing collaboration and innovation in the field of Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare and Advanced Electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to demonstrate solutions for pressing problems in technique development.
• Develop future aircraft systems, including mission system designs, software, algorithms, and user interfaces.
• Advance Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare capabilities for the Warfighter.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for meetings and technical discussions.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent with 10 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

Nice-to-haves

• Experienced System Engineer with TS/SCI
• Master's degree in a technical field such as Systems Engineering
• Experience with RF Theory and wireless communications
• Understanding of signal processing for signal analysis and waveform generation
• Specific skills within the Electronic Attack (EA) domains of Electronic Warfare (EW)
• Knowledge of Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), and Agile Mindset principles.
