About the position

In this role at BAE Systems, you will lead a cross-functional team focused on developing next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions for electronic warfare. The position involves improving future aircraft systems, including mission system designs, software, algorithms, and user interfaces. You will work on Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare and Advanced Electronics, contributing to the development of capabilities that enhance mission survivability. The role requires full-time onsite work due to the nature of the tasks, with occasional travel to customer sites for meetings and technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to demonstrate solutions for pressing problems in technique development.
• Develop future aircraft systems, including improvements to mission system designs, software, algorithms, and user interfaces.
• Contribute to the development of next-generation Electronic Warfare capabilities for the Warfighter.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for meetings and technical discussions, participating in field events.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent related discipline with 10+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree in the same fields with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Self-motivated with an understanding of the Electronic Warfare domain.

Nice-to-haves

• Experienced System Engineer with TS/SCI clearance.
• Master's degree in a technical field such as Systems Engineering.
• Experience with RF Theory and wireless communications.
• Understanding of signal processing for signal analysis and waveform generation.
• Specific skills within the Electronic Attack (EA) domains of Electronic Warfare (EW).
• Experience with Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML), and Agile Mindset principles.
