About the position

The Senior Principal IT Technical Analyst at Medtronic will specialize in the Order to Cash (OTC) process, leveraging deep expertise in SAP S/4 HANA and related modules within the Life Sciences or Medical Device industry. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize SAP solutions that ensure compliance and efficiency in global operations. The position requires leading SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while fostering an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards and address business requirements.
• Plan system and development deployment, ensuring compliance with hardware and software standards.
• Evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and overall system characteristics.
• Establish and document system design, ensuring functionality, performance, and compatibility of hardware and software systems.
• Identify system functionality or performance deficiencies and execute changes to correct them.
• Document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
• Act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.
• Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA solutions across the full OTC cycle.
• Develop and implement global best practices for OTC in alignment with industry standards.
• Configure and optimize the SAP SD module to support complex sales and distribution scenarios.
• Design and manage intercompany product movement processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
• Implement transfer pricing strategies within SAP, ensuring adherence to global tax regulations.
• Lead and manage SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects in a global context.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree and 8+ years of experience.
• 10+ years of experience with SAP, including 5+ years focused on SAP S/4 HANA implementations in global, regulated industries such as Life Sciences or Medical Devices.
• Strong expertise in the Order to Cash (OTC) process, including Sales & Distribution (SD), intercompany product movement, transfer pricing, and product costing.
• Proven experience in leading at least 2 full life cycle SAP S/4 HANA implementations in a multi-entity, global context.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements of the life sciences or medical device industries.
