About the position

As a Senior Principal Quote to Cash Software Architect at Equinix, you will play a pivotal role in leading the architecture and optimization of the Quote-to-Cash (QTC) value stream. This position involves collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions that enhance business objectives across various processes including quoting, order management, billing, and revenue management. You will be responsible for establishing technical direction, ensuring system integration, and driving continuous improvements to support scalability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End Value Stream Architecture: Architect and optimize the entire quote-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals.
• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and execute architectural strategies to modernize quote-to-cash systems, transitioning from legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
• Technology Roadmap Development: Collaborate with product teams to develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap that supports long-term objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product heads and business stakeholders to ensure IT strategies align with business needs.
• System Integration & Interoperability: Lead the design and implementation of integration strategies across diverse systems.
• Architectural Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices.
• Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyze and optimize workflows in the quote-to-cash lifecycle to drive performance and efficiency.
• Risk Management & Problem Solving: Anticipate technical risks and develop scalable solutions.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Provide mentorship to technical teams and lead in architectural best practices.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure architectural decisions meet security requirements.
• Agile & DevOps Practices: Advocate for Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or related fields.
• At least 5 years working within the Quote-to-Cash domain (CPQ, order management, billing, etc.).
• A minimum of 5+ years in a senior technical leadership or value stream architect role.
• Proven experience in designing and scaling enterprise-level systems and processes.
• Deep knowledge of quote-to-cash systems such as Salesforce CPQ, SAP, Oracle, and other relevant platforms.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native technologies, microservices architecture, APIs, and enterprise integration.
• Ability to align technical solutions with long-term business strategy.
• Experience in influencing senior leadership and collaborating across functions.
• Expertise in system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Deep understanding of Agile practices and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives focused on quote-to-cash modernization.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications to enhance process automation in quote-to-cash processes.
