About the position

The Senior Principal Software Architect will serve as a key technical leader within the Quote-to-Cash (QTC) Engineering team, responsible for driving the architecture, scalability, and optimization of the entire QTC value stream. This role involves collaboration with executive leadership, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement technology solutions that align with business objectives across various processes including quoting, order management, billing, and revenue management. The architect will establish technical direction, ensure system integration and modernization, and drive continuous improvements across the value stream.

Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End Value Stream Architecture: Architect and optimize the entire quote-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and execute architectural strategies to modernize quote-to-cash systems, transitioning to cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Technology Roadmap Development: Collaborate with product teams to develop a strategic technology roadmap that supports long-term objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product heads and business stakeholders to align IT strategies with business needs.
• System Integration & Interoperability: Lead the design and implementation of integration strategies across diverse systems.
• Architectural Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards and governance frameworks.
• Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyze and optimize workflows in the quote-to-cash lifecycle for performance and efficiency.
• Risk Management & Problem Solving: Anticipate technical risks and develop scalable solutions.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Provide mentorship to technical teams and lead in architectural best practices.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure architectural decisions meet security requirements.
• Agile & DevOps Practices: Advocate for Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or related fields.
• At least 5 years working within the Quote-to-Cash domain (CPQ, order management, billing, etc.).
• A minimum of 5+ years in a senior technical leadership or value stream architect role.
• Proven experience in designing and scaling enterprise-level systems and processes.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native technologies, microservices architecture, APIs, and enterprise integration.
• Ability to align technical solutions with long-term business strategy.
• Experience in influencing senior leadership and collaborating across functions.
• Expertise in system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Deep understanding of Agile practices and DevOps methodologies.
