About the position

As a Senior Principal Site Reliability Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the survivability and reliability of mission-critical resources within the Space and Intelligence Systems line of business. This position is designed for a highly skilled engineer who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership qualities. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is dedicated to maintaining the uptime of critical systems, automating systems administration activities, and configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise services. Your expertise in administrating Linux systems will be essential in this role, as you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance required at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.
