About the position
The Senior Principal Systems Engineer will be part of the Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) team at Raytheon, focusing on Systems Engineering activities that support the development of complex systems for various programs. This role involves defining customer needs, developing requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to create technical solutions for critical defense challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform Systems Engineering activities on assigned programs.
- Conduct trade studies and develop requirements.
- Update and maintain Interface Description Documents.
- Perform analysis and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and engineers from outside Raytheon.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of Systems Engineering or related technical discipline experience.
- Experience with Missile Defense Systems or related systems engineering experience.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced Degree in STEM.
- Experience in tracking systems within elements of the Missile Defense System.
- Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems.
- MATLAB experience.
- Python experience.
- Experience using DOORs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience communicating with all levels of the organization and stakeholders.
