Our Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) team plays a crucial role in integrating, verifying, and validating our products to ensure they perform effectively in real-world scenarios. We develop comprehensive plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and create test environments that allow us to work closely with our customers to deliver reliable solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, you will collaborate with program management and various teams to ensure that user and system functions operate as intended. This position requires a deep understanding of Vehicle, Space & Communications, and the ability to apply systems in support of intelligence needs. You will be responsible for documenting and defining all test and integration events, ensuring that all test-related requirements, interfaces, and results are clearly understood and tracked. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to gather artifacts and analyze results effectively. As part of the SI&T team, you will work in an Agile, DEVSecOps environment, supporting the overall test strategy, including the development of plans and procedures. Your responsibilities will include integrating software and hardware, troubleshooting and debugging issues, developing automated test scripts, and conducting performance and risk analyses. You will lead a team of Systems Integration & Test Engineers, define and conduct system integration tests, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure the system operates as designed. Additionally, you will participate in technical interchange meetings with customers and communicate status updates to section leads while identifying potential risks and recommending solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the overall test strategy, including plan and procedure development.
  • Integrate software and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  • Develop automated test scripts and execute them.
  • Generate, review, maintain, and manage documentation related to testing.
  • Conduct performance analysis, risk analysis, and trade studies.
  • Lead a team of Systems Integration & Test Engineers in modernization development.
  • Define and conduct system integration tests, including data generation and configuration settings.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure the system operates as designed and resolve issues.
  • Perform system maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs) with the customer.
  • Communicate status to section leads and identify potential risks with recommended solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience in System Integration and Test.
  • Experience in defining and conducting integration scope.
  • Ability to generate test data, configuration settings, and execute test planning.
  • Experience in communicating status, results, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
  • Direct interactions with external customers.
  • Experience with systems and requirements in a test environment, including requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with GitLab Pipeline Automated Testing.
  • Experience working in Java development.
  • Ability to engage with and present to technical and programmatic leadership.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a Lead Systems Integration & Test Engineer.
  • Systems Engineering experience on large government programs, preferably ground systems solutions.
  • Previous SIGINT experience.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with pipeline development and maintenance using tools like Jenkins/Bitbucket/Gitlab.
  • Experience with manual testing techniques, including writing new procedures and maintaining legacy test procedures.
  • Experience with test automation, including script development and root cause analysis using tool suites such as Selenium.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex software systems and developing issue closure plans.
