Our Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) team plays a crucial role in integrating, verifying, and validating our products to ensure they perform effectively in real-world scenarios. We develop comprehensive plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and create test environments that allow us to work closely with our customers. We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, you will collaborate with program management and various teams to ensure that user and system functions operate correctly. This position requires a deep understanding of Vehicle, Space & Communications, and the intelligence needs of end users, applying this knowledge to support their requirements. As a Senior Principal SI&T Engineer, you will be responsible for documenting and defining all test and integration events, ensuring that all test-related requirements, interfaces, and results are clearly understood and tracked. Your responsibilities will include working within an Agile, DEVSecOps environment to support overall test strategy, integrating software and hardware, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and developing automated test scripts. You will also lead a team of Systems Integration & Test Engineers, define and conduct system integration tests, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure the system operates as designed. Participation in technical interchange meetings with customers and maintaining access as required by the program will also be part of your duties. This role is essential in ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability, contributing to a safer, more secure world.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall test strategy, including plan and procedure development
  • Integrate software and hardware
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues
  • Develop automated test scripts and execute them
  • Generate, review, maintain, and manage documentation
  • Conduct performance analysis, risk analysis, and trade studies
  • Lead a team of Systems Integration & Test Engineers to support modernization development
  • Define and conduct system integration tests, including data generation, configuration settings, and test execution
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure the system operates as designed
  • Communicate, address, and resolve issues
  • Perform system maintenance as needed
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs) with the Customer
  • Communicate status to section leads and identify potential risks with recommended solutions
  • Obtain and maintain access as required by the program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in System Integration and Test, including defining and conducting integration scope
  • Experience generating test data, configuration settings, and test planning and execution
  • Ability to communicate status, results, and recovery plans to key stakeholders
  • Direct interactions with external customers
  • Experience with systems and requirements in a test environment
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with GitLab Pipeline Automated Testing
  • Experience working in Java development
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working as a Lead Systems Integration & Test Engineer
  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government program, preferably ground systems solutions programs
  • Previous SIGINT experience
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps
  • Experience with pipeline development and maintenance, and associated tools (such as Jenkins/Bitbucket/Gitlab)
  • Experience with manual testing techniques including writing new procedures from scratch and maintaining/updating legacy test procedures
  • Experience with test automation including script development, root cause analysis, and resolution using tool suites such as Selenium
  • Expertise with troubleshooting complex software systems and developing issue closure plans with coordinated solutions across internal teams and external stakeholders.
