About the position

The Senior Principal Technical Product Manager at Optum AI is responsible for the design, development, and management of generative AI products throughout their lifecycle. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and leveraging market insights to enhance product performance and meet customer needs. The position requires a strong technical focus and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of AI/ML solutions that improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the roadmap for generative AI capabilities in United AI Studio.
• Provide regular updates about the adoption of Generative AI across the enterprise to senior leadership.
• Create and manage best practices for the use of Gen AI across the UHG enterprise.
• Evangelize the benefits of generative AI through proofs-of-concept and demos.
• Manage matrix partners and cross-functional stakeholder strategy.
• Develop and implement Gen AI enterprise adoption, training, and communications plan.
• Collaborate with the Responsible Use of AI (RUAI) team to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with customers to enable implementation of end-to-end Gen AI solution pipelines.
• Collaborate with major CSPs and Gen AI services vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical product development or management, including 5+ years focused on AI/ML lifecycle management.
• 5+ years of experience leading initiatives/projects in a large, matrixed organization.
• 3+ years of experience in establishing and enforcing AI/ML best practices and standards.
• Experience developing communication strategies and creating Executive-level content.
