About the position

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is a dynamic group of innovators building and operating a suite of cutting-edge, highly scalable cloud services. We are on a mission to empower our customers to tackle their biggest challenges and transform their businesses. As a key member of our team, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with OCI's Chief Technical Architect and senior technical leaders. Your expertise and creativity will be instrumental in showcasing our most innovative technologies to the world. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Technical Product Manager with a passion for cloud infrastructure and a talent for storytelling. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple functional teams to gain a deep understanding of OCI's product offerings, technical capabilities, and unique value proposition to produce high-quality technical product blogs and create video scripts for our OCI First Principles program targeting external audiences. You will be passionate about inspiring readers with great stories, write engaging, well-researched articles, working closely with executives with video scripting to produce blog videos. You will collaborate closely with our partners in program and product management to understand our customers and understand the right solutions and products that makes their needs and businesses complete. You are a self-starter technical leader with a shown ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with OCI's Chief Technical Architect and senior technical leaders to showcase innovative technologies.
  • Produce high-quality technical product blogs and create video scripts for the OCI First Principles program.
  • Engage with various stakeholders like marketing, product, and legal to publish blog content and facilitate video recording.
  • Partner with program and product management teams to understand customer needs and translate them into powerful solutions.
  • Research industry trends, technological advancements, and market shifts to ensure relevant blog content.
  • Work with subject matter experts to communicate their insights on technology for cloud service customers.
  • Assist in preparing customer presentation collateral and cover events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience as hands-on product and technical program manager; preferably in a related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud fundamentals and cloud services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to synthesize collateral and craft engaging technical blog content and video scripts.
  • Experience communicating findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Highly analytical and technically proficient.

Nice-to-haves

  • 12+ years of product design, program management or related experience with a development background.
  • Master's degree in computer science or relevant technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Thorough understanding of public cloud infrastructure services, such as Compute, Storage, Identity and Networking.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OCI, AWS, Azure or Google IaaS, SaaS and PaaS services.
