About the position

The Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Workday will be part of the Federal Cloud Platform Engineering team, responsible for driving product and strategy for Workday's technology platform. This role involves leading projects and programs that ensure systems scale to meet diverse customer requirements, particularly for U.S. Federal Government contracts. The TPM will analyze data, drive process improvements, and collaborate across teams to enhance operational excellence and deliver large-scale cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and programs spanning infrastructure and software for the Federal Cloud Platform.
• Analyze data about the platform, services, and tooling to drive improvements.
• Facilitate technical sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues.
• Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to design and build secure, scalable services.
• Manage remote project delivery teams and ensure successful delivery of large-scale programs.
• Participate in strategic, operational, and tactical planning efforts.
• Document and standardize cross-functional processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain program and project roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or similar technical leadership role.
• 10+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle from conception to delivery.
• Possession of a valid and active TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance.
