About the position

The Senior Privacy Analyst at Harkcon, Inc. plays a crucial role in providing privacy support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position involves analyzing privacy risks associated with new technologies and programs, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and drafting necessary documentation. The role offers opportunities for professional growth and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement effective privacy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTA), System of Records Notices (SORN), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), and Privacy Act (PA) statements.
• Perform assessments and analyses of projects and studies related to legal, policy, and regulatory compliance.
• Gather information concerning systems collecting personally identifiable information to determine required compliance documentation.
• Coordinate efforts of program offices, project managers, and staff for privacy-related assessments and analyses.
• Participate in review meetings and analyze documents during privacy compliance reviews.
• Draft and edit documentation such as project plans, reports, and analyses.

Requirements

• Masters Degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in privacy analysis.
• Ability to work independently and oversee junior staff efforts.
• Knowledge and experience with PTA, PIA, and SORN processes.
• CIPP, CIPP/G or other designation from the International Institute of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) preferred.
• Must meet all security eligibility requirements set by DHS (Public Trust).
