About the position

The Senior Privacy & Compliance Analyst at AccentCare plays a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the HIPAA Compliance program. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to assess policies, design training, conduct investigations, and perform related analytics. The Analyst will also prepare and present reports to leadership and the Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors, while establishing key relationships with operational leadership to ensure effective communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of the HIPAA Compliance program.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess policies and design training.
  • Conduct investigations and perform related analytics.
  • Prepare and present reports to leadership and the Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with operational leadership and staff.
  • Participate in various compliance projects and initiatives.
  • Assist the Privacy Officer with the administration of the HIPAA Privacy Program.
  • Serve as a HIPAA subject matter expert and resource for the Compliance Department.
  • Partner with the CISO and IT Security team as appropriate.
  • Review, update, and enhance AccentCare's privacy programs.
  • Coordinate with Privacy Officer Designees to review and investigate reported disclosures of protected information.
  • Document all investigations in accordance with department standards.
  • Develop and oversee appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and deliver data privacy training for various audiences.
  • Conduct compliance investigations, assessments, and reviews as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Health Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance, internal audit, or related experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience conducting investigations and HIPAA assessments.
  • HIM or privacy/compliance certification preferred.
