About the position

The Compliance & Ethics Analyst - Senior serves as a consultant, investigator, educator, and coordinator, leading a team to support various compliance functions. This role is responsible for managing complex projects related to privacy compliance, working closely with the Chief Privacy Officer to implement and oversee the Privacy Compliance Program across multiple entities. The position requires interaction with executives, clinicians, and caregivers to ensure effective compliance and ethical standards are maintained throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote mechanisms to encourage a culture of compliance and reporting.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address regulatory risk and implement requirements through projects and assignments.
  • Evaluate and identify risks, implementing corrective action plans for compliance issues identified by audits or regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct monitoring and auditing activities with oversight and direction.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders on regulatory compliance issues within the established framework.
  • Develop and deliver compliance education and training programs to stakeholders.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance complaints and coordinate with legal counsel and other departments as needed.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance performance and culture.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethics to reduce risks of audits, fines, and penalties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in a regulatory, compliance, or risk management role in the healthcare sector.
  • Intermediate knowledge of federal and state laws related to healthcare billing, coding, reimbursement, and risk adjustment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply healthcare regulations and assess gaps in compliance.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Discretion to maintain confidentiality and make effective decisions.
  • Experience implementing the eight elements of an effective compliance program.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize assignments.
