About the position

As a Process Coordination Engineer III at ManTech, you will play a crucial role in optimizing engineering processes that are vital to our national security initiatives. This position is designed for a motivated individual who is eager to contribute to innovative projects while working within a diverse team. You will be based in the DMV area, with opportunities available in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. Your primary focus will be on analyzing and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across various engineering functions. In this senior role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to implement necessary changes and improvements at both the Technical Development Lab (TDL) and Project Management Office (PMO) levels. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior staff members, conducting audits, and assessments to monitor compliance, and identifying areas for further improvement. Your expertise in workflow analysis and change management will be essential in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering processes. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to supervise and mentor subordinate project staff. You will receive direction from the Continual Improvement Manager III, ensuring that all engineering processes align with organizational goals and standards. Your contributions will not only enhance operational efficiency but also support the overarching mission of protecting our national security.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize Engineering processes
  • Analyze and streamline processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with teams, including Project Managers, technicians, and other engineers, to implement changes and improvements at the TDL and/or PMO level
  • Participate in training and mentoring junior staff members
  • Conduct audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for further improvement
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate project staff
  • Receive direction from the Continual Improvement Manager III

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five or more (5+) years of related experience
  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required
  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required
  • Active Top Secret clearance
