About the position

The Senior Process Engineer at Clorox will lead manufacturing projects from ideation through startup, focusing on driving technology innovations and supporting product launches. This role is part of the Process Engineering Team within the Manufacturing Technology organization, which is dedicated to delivering manufacturing breakthroughs and ensuring supply assurance. The engineer will manage high-impact projects, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while optimizing processes for business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets.
  • Provide functional specific technical leadership on evolving capabilities within the industry and insight to project teams on plants' engineering requirements.
  • Mentor, train, and develop indirect reports.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of corporate and project safety performance by supporting safety programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure projects meet environmental compliance requirements while supporting environmental sustainability goal achievement.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (BSME / BSEE / BSChE / IE or equivalent engineering degree)
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in Operations, 2+ years in Staff Engineering, and 2+ years in Plant Engineering
  • Expertise in dry materials and powder handling in addition to liquids processing
  • Experience with capital projects and capital budget process
  • Good business judgment with ability to calibrate with business objectives and meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to travel 50 - 75% to plant and equipment vendor sites as needed for project work
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent, and utilization of Engineering Standards, along with familiarity with CI / TPM / Lean Manufacturing processes and techniques preferred
  • Proven ability to document and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Background in consumer packaged goods environment preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
  • Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes and techniques.
