About the position

The Process Engineer at Reworld will play a crucial role in optimizing and improving the efficiency of industrial processes within the organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Metals & Optimization, this position involves ensuring the smooth functioning of production lines, developing new techniques, modifying existing designs, and coordinating process improvement projects. The role requires collaboration with engineering, operations, and optimization teams to enhance productivity and achieve sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity in operational processes.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop and implement equipment modifications or new equipment installations to improve process performance.
  • Ensure that operational processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing measures to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Collect and analyze data related to process performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement using statistical tools and software.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment or process inefficiencies, developing solutions to prevent recurrence of problems.
  • Prepare documentation such as technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process manuals, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and management to achieve operational goals.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen to drive process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Knowledge of continuous processes, equipment design, and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a process engineer within a highly industrialized environment (manufacturing, materials management, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.
