About the position

The Senior Process Engineer - Specialty Chemicals is responsible for providing technical oversight and coordination for complex Process Technology projects. This role may involve leading a team of engineers to develop project specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and interfacing with various stakeholders to align project expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical responsibility for organizing, executing, and coordinating complex Process Technology project assignments.
• Lead a team of engineers to develop drawings and specifications for various project phases including study, feasibility, and Front End Engineering Development (FEED).
• Develop Process Technology Quality Plans for small to moderate size projects.
• Oversee Process Activity Plans for moderate to intermediate size projects.
• Execute Fluor's scope of work according to contract requirements.
• Interface with client representatives and Fluor discipline engineers to align contract requirements and develop interdisciplinary drawings.

Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study.
• Fourteen (14) years of work-related experience in the engineering field.
• Recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, and vendors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.
• Relevant experience in the specialty chemical industry with inorganic and electrolyte chemistry is desirable.
