The Senior Process Engineer provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business, ensuring that their work impacts the entire area and contributes to the overall success of the organization. In this role, the Senior Process Engineer will function effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team, ensuring the delivery of process solutions that meet required outcomes and budget constraints. They will assess innovation opportunities, identify new sources of growth, and optimize business and operating models. The engineer will also simplify organizational structures and create robust franchise processes. Collaboration with business and function managers is essential to identify significant opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization. The role involves developing compelling executive presentations that recommend and persuade decision-makers on specific courses of action. Additionally, the Senior Process Engineer will develop and maintain rigorous project plans, manage tactical project needs, and share best practices across the enterprise. The position requires the ability to drive qualitative and quantitative analysis, addressing ambiguity in available data, and formulating actionable insights that challenge the status quo. The engineer will independently develop portions of executive documents and effectively communicate complex concepts to senior executive audiences. Building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders is crucial, as is managing small teams to achieve results. The Senior Process Engineer will structure and execute their workstream, anticipate issues, and implement mitigation strategies while assessing risks associated with business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining the firm's reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team and ensure delivery of a process solution that meets the required outcomes and budget.

  • Develop and maintain rigorous project plans and manage tactical project needs, including resource requirements, relationship management, and task management.
  • Develop and share best practices and lessons learned across the enterprise.
  • Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis, addressing ambiguity in available data and input.
  • Formulate hypotheses and identify actionable insights that challenge the status quo.
  • Independently develop stand-alone portions of executive documents.
  • Effectively communicate complex concepts to senior executive audiences.
  • Build relationships with and influence senior stakeholders on path forward.
  • Manage small teams, including productivity and business resources, to achieve results.
  • Structure and execute own workstream; anticipate issues and put in place mitigation strategies; see dependencies and connectivity across workstreams.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years experience in process engineering.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Bias for action; track record of driving parts of large scale transformations and/or implementation of high-impact initiatives.
  • Well-versed in a range of problem solving approaches and capable of optimizing techniques to yield the best results.
  • Knowledge of the financial service industry and technology organizations.
  • Ability to travel a proportion of the time.
