About the position

The Senior Process Engineer position at Geosyntec involves leading innovative and challenging industrial water and wastewater projects. The role is focused on collaboration, project management, and business development within the industrial water sector, particularly in Minnesota and globally. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced practitioners, manage project teams, and contribute to the growth of the industrial water practice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and quality management plans.
  • Coordinate the team to deliver quality industrial water/wastewater projects on time and within budget.
  • Contribute technically to industrial water/wastewater planning, alternatives evaluations, design coordination, and cost estimating.
  • Develop and implement a business development plan to expand repeat business with existing clients and develop new business with new clients.
  • Lead the development of proposals and execute marketing strategies.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff and subcontractors.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Review and manage written document production.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (civil, chemical, or environmental).
  • Professional engineer certification.
  • At least 8 years of environmental consulting experience, including familiarity with the industrial water/wastewater marketplace.
  • Detailed understanding of industrial water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Successful client management and business development track record.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with industrial stormwater management modeling and/or design.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
