Attollo Engineering is seeking to hire a Senior Process Engineer who will play a crucial role in the development of new manufacturing processes for III-V materials, specifically for the fabrication of infrared detector arrays. This position involves both research and development as well as production processes. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and owning new processes while also implementing and improving existing ones. A significant part of the role will include using design of experiments to devise solution paths for open-ended, customer-driven challenges. The engineer will troubleshoot unforeseen issues, suggest improvements to current approaches, and thoroughly document all process steps. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for training other engineers in the execution of these processes, collecting inspection, metrology, and test data, interpreting results, and presenting solutions to internal scientists and the management team. The responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer will include developing and optimizing processes for making optoelectronic devices, specifically focusing on semiconductor wafer processes around materials such as InP, GaAs, and GaSb. The engineer will design process travelers and work instructions that provide clear instructions for execution. Tracking processes and making notes via process travelers will be essential, as will running designed experiments to improve process reproducibility and increase yield. The engineer will also participate in device test data reviews and suggest process improvements to enhance device performance, providing engineering and operator oversight throughout the process.
