About the position

The Senior Process Engineer position is a key role within a leading specialty polymer products company located in the Chicago suburbs. This role focuses on leveraging technical expertise to enhance production processes, manage safety programs, and lead improvement initiatives. The position also offers opportunities for career advancement into Plant Management.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical knowledge to contribute to production development
• Recognize and lead opportunities for improvement projects
• Manage site PSM program and procedures
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions
• Manage and develop a team of engineers

Requirements

• BS in Chemical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in a process/production role in chemical manufacturing
• Previous R&D scale-up, project management, quality, and troubleshooting experience
• Experience in a PSM-regulated facility
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is ideal
