About the position

We are searching for a senior level process engineer for our plant in Spartanburg, SC USA. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining standardized work for operations, monitoring and increasing production quality and quantity, and performing and managing continuous improvement (CI) projects. You will also be involved in inquiry and procurement, project management, and capacity planning in cooperation with production. Additionally, you will plan and implement process developments and the development of new technologies, complete special projects, and conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). As a senior process engineer, you will also manage assigned employees, ensuring that they are supported and guided in their roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain standardized work for operations
• Monitor and increase production quality and quantity
• Perform and manage continuous improvement (CI) projects
• Inquiry and procurement
• Project management
• Capacity planning in cooperation with production
• Planning and implementation of process developments and development of new technologies
• Completion of special projects and FMEAs
• Management of assigned employees

Requirements

• Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of tool construction, robots, automation assembly and welding technology
• Previous project management experience
• Experience in FMEA and problem-solving techniques
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience as an engineer in manufacturing; or 5-7 years of experience as an engineer in manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
