Senior Process Engineer

About the position

This position takes responsibility for a specific process discipline's management, application, and execution across the MLC organization. The senior process engineer assumes accountability for refractory, comminution, classification, hydration, and/or precipitation across all production units utilizing that technology. The senior process engineer establishes themselves as the resident expert in this technology, both in its current and future utilization. Monitors employee's performance, including safety compliance, absenteeism and tardiness, work practices/processes and adherence to plant and federal rules/procedures/regulations, work and process efficiency, job tasks and assignments, etc.

Responsibilities

• Have fully developed Expertise and Experience in a key business process area (Refractory, Comminution, Classification, Hydration, and Precipitation)
• Work with Sales/Marketing Group to bring new products or modified products to commercial production
• Interface directly with external customers to solve issues and identify opportunities for MLC and the Customer
• Lead and Develop Process Engineer staff involved in Processes
• Spend time developing technical knowledge of operational supervisor and leads
• Possess the ability to move to other Process units to perform work
• Development new technologies and new applications of technology to MLC processes
• Support the process and technology responsibilities in large capital projects
• Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with preference for advanced degree in Engineering
• Experience: 10+ years of process and operations management experience
