About the position

The Senior Process/Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through construction. This role requires a strong background in mechanical systems and process engineering to develop innovative solutions that adhere to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review construction documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate engineering projects, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams during the planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Develop and review calculations, specifications, and designs for process and mechanical systems, including P&ID development.
  • Provide expertise in designing mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Generate and review precise engineering calculations and specifications.
  • Utilize computer-aided drafting applications effectively to support design processes.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering design, estimating, specification preparation, and construction document preparation (nuclear experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Federal, State, and Local codes and standards, particularly Department of Energy Orders.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required.
  • Strong familiarity with computer-aided drafting tools and technologies.
