About the position

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in achieving operational excellence within our manufacturing processes. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert and process engineering lead, focusing on optimizing equipment, production flows, and systems to enhance overall performance. Your expertise will be crucial in mentoring and advising the Operations Manager and collaborating with various teams, including production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of reliability, quality, and performance integrity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with company, industry, and customer specifications. You will support the plant leadership team in fostering a culture of safety, high performance, and ethical compliance. Additionally, you may supervise a team of direct reports, overseeing their development, mentoring, and performance management. Your ability to communicate effectively with key customers and manage project feasibility will be essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and achieving project goals. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will also be involved in defining and controlling production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending technologies to enhance efficiency and safety. You will analyze process data for monitoring and optimization, support major investigations as a Subject Matter Expert, and lead lean deployment activities. Your role will require you to compile, analyze, and interpret data related to continuous process improvement efforts across various departments, ensuring that we consistently deliver safe and compliant products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and process engineering lead for manufacturing.
  • Mentor and advise the Operations Manager on production performance.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, receiving, warehouse, supply chain, and maintenance teams.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure products meet reliability, quality, and performance integrity.
  • Support plant leadership in employee engagement and safety compliance.
  • Supervise a team of direct reports, managing their development and performance.
  • Communicate regularly with key customers to address issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage project feasibility, including scope, budget, timeline, and resources.
  • Act as a technical liaison between engineering and customers for system requirements.
  • Provide unattended One Step mold and system start-up as required.
  • Establish and maintain data resource information related to packaging and processes.
  • Initiate and support continuous process improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline plus 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/quality/development environment, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of an engineering degree.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Plastics engineering technology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
