About the position

The Senior Process Safety Engineer at Cargill is responsible for applying technical knowledge of process safety management to develop, improve, and oversee business and corporate standards for handling hazardous processes across multiple ammonia refrigeration facilities. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure the consistent implementation of safety standards and the prevention of serious process safety events.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge and assistance across multiple sites to ensure consistent implementation of process safety standards.
• Partner with facility engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to develop strategies for deploying and sustaining corporate process safety risk management standards.
• Manage and oversee the process safety programs of multiple facilities, including process hazard analysis, audits, management of change, incident investigation, and process safety information.
• Provide technical, regulatory, and strategic consultation, support, and training on safety risk management requirements and tools.
• Deliver guidance related to process safety practices using experienced knowledge.
• Collaborate with domain and technology teams to deploy technologies that achieve objectives and best practices in process safety.
• Collaborate with regional process safety leadership to evaluate and assess the performance of corporate process safety standards.
• Track site process safety performance through internal auditing and measurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years of process safety engineering experience, including managing process safety programs across multiple unit operations or facilities, specifically in ammonia refrigeration facilities.
