About the position

The Procurement & Sourcing Manager will support procurement project management within the Pharmaceutical & Biotech field, focusing on sourcing execution, supplier management, and contract negotiation. This role involves creating procurement strategies, managing sourcing processes, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support the procurement project manager with a range of responsibilities.
• Create a procurement strategy and detailed procurement plan.
• Lead all activities within the sourcing process, ensuring cooperation with key stakeholders.
• Plan and execute sourcing events including RFP/RFXs and negotiations.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with policies and compliance standards.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation related to sourcing activities.
• Proactively address and resolve issues in supplier performance.
• Negotiate high-complexity contracts and manage contract documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive initiatives and achieve project objectives.
• Verify that invoices align with purchase orders and contract deliverables.

Requirements

• Must reside within commuting distance of Lexington, MA.
• At least 5 years of strong Procurement/Sourcing experience in the Biotech, Lab, Clinical, or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated experience in procuring/sourcing Capital Equipment for large Laboratory environments.
• Experience in negotiating high-complexity contracts.
• Strong experience in creating sourcing/procurement strategies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI for reporting.
• Familiarity with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluation techniques.
