About the position

The position involves gaining a deep understanding of the US Equity market, customers, and competitors to help shape and execute the product roadmap. The role supports product and business strategy for market-leading, trusted US Equity post-trade enterprise platforms, including FINRA/Nasdaq Trade Reporting Facilities (TRFs) and WorkX. The candidate will generate actionable recommendations based on customer and market intelligence to support product development decision-making and translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and development by technology teams. Additionally, the role drives the execution of the full product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, product positioning, business requirements and pricing design, roadmap development, product launch, and go-to-market execution. The candidate will create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, business and operations requirements, as well as product collateral for clients and internal teams. Collaboration with technology, marketing, operations, and sales teams is essential for the development, QA, and release of products, ensuring success for the entire organization. The candidate will also lead and develop internal and external programs to ensure that goals and objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of the US Equity market, customers, and competitors to help shape and execute the product roadmap.
  • Support product and business strategy for market-leading, trusted US Equity post-trade enterprise platforms, FINRA/Nasdaq Trade Reporting Facilities (TRFs) and WorkX.
  • Generate actionable recommendations based on customer and market intelligence to support product development decision-making.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and development by technology teams.
  • Drive the execution of the full product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, product positioning, business requirements and pricing design, roadmap development, product launch, and go-to-market execution.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, business and operations requirements, and product collateral for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with technology, marketing, operations, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products.
  • Lead and develop internal and external programs to ensure that goals and objectives are met.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience in product development, project management, software development, and/or data science roles.
  • Broad understanding of the US Equities Markets.
  • Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven success in overseeing product development lifecycle and/or large-scale projects.
  • Successful influencer with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across different parts of the organization.
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.

Nice-to-haves

  • A keen interest to learn about capital markets, fintech, and applying innovative technologies (Cloud and Artificial Intelligence) is strongly preferred.
