About the position

The position involves joining the Product Analytics team within the Product organization, focusing on insurance analytics specifically for homeowners' results across select states. The role emphasizes collaboration with various business leaders to promote profitability and growth through analytical insights and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and oversee homeowners' results for select states.
  • Deliver state analytics that promote profitability and growth.
  • Collaborate with state managers to perform analytical analysis within states.
  • Analyze results on a monthly basis, completing monthly reporting and researching performance drivers.
  • Support multiple deep dive projects and make recommendations for further analysis or strategic changes.
  • Use tools such as GCP BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Power BI to extract data and create reports.
  • Guide decisions and priorities with an understanding of competitive position and external data.
  • Bring improvements and enhancements to existing processes, focusing on automation for efficiency.
  • Lead non-region-specific projects and tool building tasks.
  • Manage requests for policy reviews and compliance requests.
  • Identify business opportunities, develop product plans, and implement those plans.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of professional experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a graduate degree and/or CPCU designation is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and define business problems, developing strategic and analytical frameworks for analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze state performance and recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, GCP, and/or other programming/data query/reporting tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree and/or CPCU designation.
