About the position

The Senior Product Analyst works on the Product Management team to analyze, design, and support Truist's product platform. This role requires a strong background in technology product implementations, digital release schedules, and ongoing support. A detailed understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including both waterfall and agile methodologies, is essential. The analyst will partner with product management to position the organization to transform and meet the challenges of the technology and digital world. This position may involve leading projects that support the organization and will also focus on existing products by researching product issues and necessary fixes. As a highly visible role within the organization, the Senior Product Analyst will collaborate closely with product, PMO, and technology delivery teams. The essential duties include monitoring digital trends, leading fact-driven market analysis, benchmarking Truist products against competitors, conducting research to support product findings, synthesizing insights for stakeholders, coordinating research with analysts, analyzing reporting requirements, and supporting the development of digital roadmaps that reflect client and teammate needs. This position is critical in ensuring that the organization remains competitive and responsive to market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor digital trends and assess experience-related trends, business/service models, and underlying enablers that meet core business needs.
  • Lead fact-driven analysis of the market, developing actionable recommendations that influence teams about client experiences.
  • Benchmark Truist products and services against competitors to identify opportunities and best practices for concept testing and development.
  • Lead research to support product findings and issue remediation.
  • Synthesize insights to share with stakeholders and partners throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate research with analysts to create a strong understanding of client insights and the competitive landscape.
  • Analyze, define, and communicate reporting requirements to cross-functional teams during the software development lifecycle.
  • Support the development of digital roadmaps that reflect client and teammate needs, as well as foundational technology capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Three or more years of banking, financial services, digital, or other relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of product, analysis, technology, and/or design experience.
  • Comfortable managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, leading work autonomously, and making independent decisions.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of trends in technology and in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to learn and translate technically complex concepts into business-friendly terminology.
  • Considerable tact, diplomacy, and people skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
