About the position

The Senior Product Analyst at HCA Healthcare plays a crucial role in managing the Enterprise Application Portfolio Management (APM) Process and associated products. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure effective communication, documentation, and management of business requirements, workflows, and priorities. The analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, leveraging strong communication skills and critical thinking to drive APM transformation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of business requirements documents, business workflows, data flow diagrams, and other workflows as required.
  • Participation in scrum meetings with appropriate developers and organizations.
  • Lead meetings with colleagues, the business, and customers to solicit requirements.
  • Documentation and management of priorities within appropriate work management tools.
  • Work closely with the APM Process Owner and leadership for alignment of priorities, tasking, and deliverables.
  • End-to-end knowledge and management of the Service Central workflows related to APM.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the logical model for APM within Service Central.
  • Ensure all APM Service Central field formatting and usage is consistent.
  • Ensure the integrity of all APM integrations with Service Now and other systems.
  • Define requirements and standards, mapping of data fields, testing, and producing solution designs/diagrams.
  • Investigate issues and propose solutions for anything related to APM.
  • Create and maintain APM documentation and end-user training as required.
  • Consult with Departments and Divisions on specific needs to offer proposed solutions and implement appropriately.
  • Identify and monitor process KPIs and report to leadership in agreed-upon cadence.
  • Identify Process Improvement Opportunities and develop plans to implement; continuously strive to increase process maturity, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
  • Follow all ITIL processes in relation to personal/team ticket management.
  • Investigate problems and risks to define proposed solutions and/or mitigations.
  • Review and present enhancement or change proposals to the Governance committee.
  • Assist in prioritization of work requests for the ITSM Development team.
  • Complete all assigned deliverables and contribute to the success of projects and annual ITSM tool upgrades.
  • Communicate with end users and other stakeholders through multiple channels.
  • Implement and facilitate User Review Groups as required.
  • Build and enhance relationships across ITG and other stakeholders within the enterprise.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend and implement solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of use case analysis and workflow design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels of the enterprise.
  • Excellent ability to write for different platforms and audiences.
  • Great listener, interviewer, and researcher.
  • Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and aptitude for learning.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
