About the position

As a Senior Product Analyst at HCA Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in the Implementations Team, reporting directly to the Manager of 3M HIM Technologies. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about healthcare technology and are eager to contribute to the integration of Electronic Health Records (EHR) with 3M's Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) applications. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of new EHR integrations, ensuring that software enhancements meet business needs and requirements. Your expertise will be vital in managing defects and participating in the analysis of business and clinical problems, helping to develop solutions that align with organizational goals. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for bidirectional interfaces, including HL7, between various systems such as Meditech, Epic, and CERNER. Your understanding of regulatory products, including grouper files and code dictionaries, will be essential as you provide IT expertise and clinical knowledge to senior leadership and business partners. You will also be expected to communicate effectively across various media, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly to audiences with differing levels of technical expertise. The Senior Product Analyst position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and experience with change management policies. You will be involved in diverse and complex projects, requiring a detail-oriented and analytical mindset. The role demands the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to a rapidly changing environment, all while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional care and value to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of new EHR integrations and application functionality.
  • Test software enhancements to ensure they meet business needs and requirements.
  • Manage defects according to department policies and procedures.
  • Analyze business and clinical problems to develop recommendations for solutions.
  • Support the team in tasks related to acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Communicate effectively across various media with audiences of varying technical expertise.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Manage change effectively and work on diverse and complex projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in related responsibilities required.
  • Reg Health Information Administrator certification preferred.
  • Reg Health Information Tech certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and adapt to changing environments.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting HL7 interfaces preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT coding or IT support of encoder products.
  • Experience in healthcare implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
