About the position

This position is focused on supporting the Medical Assistance (MA) and individual business processes to enhance the retention of existing business while also facilitating the acquisition of new clients. The role involves analyzing current processes to streamline both human and technical interactions, ensuring that they align with the needs of customers, brokers, and health care reform regulations. The position is hybrid, requiring candidates to be local to the Brooklyn, OH office, as relocation is not available. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing both in-office and remote work responsibilities. The successful candidate will participate in team analysis by researching existing processes and related system tools, with the aim of developing specifications for improvements. This includes coordinating and performing analyses to assist in troubleshooting customer channels that utilize sales processes. The role also involves conducting competitive analyses to support individual sales units regarding processes, products, and pricing strategies. Furthermore, the candidate will coordinate interactions with system coordinators and technicians to ensure compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and to prepare for selling at HealthCare.gov and other ACA marketplaces. The position requires collaboration with various internal departments to address sales needs related to healthcare reform topics and may include performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in team analysis through research of existing processes and related system tools with the goal to develop specifications for improvements.
  • Coordinates and performs analysis to support and assist in troubleshooting customer channels utilizing sales processes.
  • Performs analysis to support individual sales units with competitive analysis regarding processes, product and price.
  • Coordinates interactions with system coordinators and technicians to ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and prepare to sell at HealthCare.gov and other ACA marketplaces.
  • Researches and works with internal departments to support sales needs on many healthcare reform related topics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • General knowledge of health care benefits and products.
  • Intermediate level PC proficiency using various software including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics and database packages (DB2, SQL, QMF for Windows).
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Flexible and adaptive to a changing market.
