About the position

The Sr Product Content Designer will lead the content design direction for a cloud-native data and analytics platform, collaborating with design and product teams to enhance user experience. This role involves creating various design deliverables, understanding user needs, and advocating for effective content strategies that align with business goals. The designer will also refine content standards and integrate them into the design system, ensuring a user-focused approach throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Map out the direction of content design for the user experience.
• Collaborate with designers to create concept and terminology maps, journey maps, wireframes, and task flows.
• Partner with product managers to understand user needs through engagement and research.
• Design conceptual models that simplify complex systems and streamline content.
• Draft user interface microcontent such as labels, instruction copy, and error messages.
• Lead discussions on content strategy and design organization.
• Identify content and design opportunities to guide and support customers.
• Advocate for content design and provide strategic insights about customer goals and information architecture.
• Refine content and design standards and integrate them into the design system.
• Utilize design and content tools, including AI tools, for content creation and quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in product content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related field.
• Empathetic understanding of user needs and desires.
• Strong writing skills and ability to discuss content design rationale.
• Experience in implementing content and design thinking methods and user research principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to share content and design recommendations clearly and confidently.
• Experience working on SaaS-based initiatives or companies.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
