About the position

The Senior Product Content Designer will lead the content design direction for a cloud-native data and analytics platform, collaborating with design and product teams to enhance user experience. This role involves creating content strategies, validating design decisions through user research, and advocating for effective content presentation to drive product success.

Responsibilities

• Map out the direction of content design for the user experience.
• Collaborate with designers to create concept and terminology maps, journey maps, wireframes, and task flows.
• Partner with product managers to understand user needs through engagement and design thinking methods.
• Design conceptual models that simplify complex systems and streamline content in the interface.
• Draft user interface microcontent, including labels, instruction copy, and error messages.
• Lead discussions on content strategy and design organization.
• Identify content and design opportunities to guide and support customers.
• Advocate for content design and provide strategic insights about customer goals and information architecture.
• Refine content and design standards and integrate them into the design system.
• Utilize design and content tools, including content management systems and AI tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in product content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related field.
• Empathetic understanding of user needs and desires.
• Strong writing skills and ability to discuss content design rationale.
• Experience in implementing content and design thinking methods and user research principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to navigate undefined problem spaces and balance multiple projects.
