About the position

The Senior Product Data Analyst is a strategic role that combines analytical expertise with business acumen to drive data-driven decision-making and product development. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and partners, to provide insights that influence the direction of our products and ensure they meet customer needs and business objectives. The role is essential in conducting deep-dive analyses of product performance, user behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and areas for improvement. In this role, the analyst will develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to monitor objectives and key results (OKRs) and product metrics. They will also perform A/B testing and other experimental designs to evaluate product changes and new features. Collaboration with product managers and owners is crucial to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical projects. Additionally, the analyst will work with engineering teams to ensure accurate data collection and integration, and partner with teams to understand market dynamics and customer feedback. The Senior Product Data Analyst will provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to guide product development and roadmap planning. They will assist in the prioritization of product features and enhancements based on data-driven insights and support go-to-market strategies with data insights to optimize product launches and market positioning. Utilizing advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques, the analyst will develop predictive models and algorithms, analyze customer segmentation by persona and value, and ensure data integrity and accuracy by establishing and enforcing data governance practices. Regular audits and validation of data sources will be performed to maintain high-quality standards. Furthermore, the analyst will mentor and guide junior analysts, providing technical and professional development support, and lead cross-functional data initiatives while championing the use of data in decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a product-focused role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R for statistical analysis and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and experimental design.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
