The analyst will also provide essential mentoring and training to all engineering staff regarding the effective use of SAP and SmarTeam, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to manage product data efficiently. In this role, the Senior Product Data Engineering Analyst will support the development and execution of PDM/PLM policies and procedures, maintaining written operating procedures that govern PLM functions. The analyst will assist in maintaining and configuring PDM system data and functions, which includes user administration, lifecycle rules, electronic workflows, schema modifications, basic scripting, and first-tier user support. A strong proficiency in CATIA is required to establish and support best practices with SmarTeam integration and the eventual transition to Enovia 3D Experience integration. The analyst will work closely with the IT department to ensure the correct configuration of systems and will support all engineering PDM-related internal and external audits. Additionally, the role involves managing data control SAP functions, which encompass engineering change records, document records, bills of materials, and material masters, while ensuring compliance with Export Control and Trade Secret functionalities. The analyst will also audit product data in SAP to maintain data integrity and manage the migration of product data from existing systems into SmarTeam and SAP, while overseeing legacy systems. While the primary focus of PDM will be engineering, the role will expand into managing product data across other functional areas. The Senior Product Data Engineering Analyst will actively participate as a member of the management team, contributing to the development and realization of departmental strategic plans, budgets, goals, and outcomes. Supporting the engineering organization in delivering design products in accordance with program demands is crucial, which includes the creation and maintenance of 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Material.
