About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. The TikTok UX team is responsible for creator product design for the TikTok app, focusing on key vertical ownership areas such as creator tools, monetization, traffic & growth, OGC, and TV. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who is passionate about video products and possesses full-stack design capabilities. In this role, you will be involved in the entire product design and development process, from initial product ideas to the final launch, ensuring a seamless experience for our global users. As a Senior Product Designer, you will design for TikTok PGC, our creative short video platform targeting global users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers, to ensure that every aspect of the product development process is covered. This includes rapidly prototyping based on conceptual product ideas, designing user flows informed by data analysis and user research, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and iterating on designs to deliver the best user experience possible. Your role will also involve continuously optimizing the overall product experience, ensuring that it meets the needs of our diverse user base. Responsibilities

• Design for TikTok PGC, the creative short video platform targeting global users.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers.
• Get involved in every aspect of the product development process, from ideas to pixel perfecting before launch.
• Prototype rapidly based on conceptual product ideas, design user flows based on data analysis and user research, get feedback from different stakeholders, reiterate designs, and ship products with the best user experience.
• Continuously optimize and be responsible for overall product experience.

Requirements

• Experience with UX and UI design, has led multiple design projects from strategy to launch, strong attention to detail.
• Ability to rapidly iterate and produce a multitude of concepts.
• Open-minded, welcome all feedback and be patient.
• Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal.
• Great communication skills, ability to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
• A global vision and mentality actively pays attention to global internet products.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years designing UX products across mobile, web, TV, preferably content creation or consumption related.
• Experience with A/B testing and data driven practice.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org.
• Have front-end programming and animation skills.
• Optimistic and positive, adaptable to the fast pace of work, a passion and enthusiasm for TikTok and its video creations!
