About the position

As a senior product designer on the Merchant Experience & Integrity team at DoorDash, you will lead initiatives to support merchants during challenging times. This role involves understanding merchant journeys to identify solutions that enhance user satisfaction and drive business metrics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the team's vision and strategy, balancing strategic planning with hands-on experimentation. This position offers the opportunity to help build the team's culture and processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting visions.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to build and ship designs.
• Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities.
• Create, collaborate, and refine flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
• Design and ship high-quality product improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience as a senior-level individual contributor (IC).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to bring clarity to complex problem spaces.
• Experience in leading product strategy and vision for new product areas.
• Proficiency in balancing strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with design sprints and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with user research techniques and usability testing.
