As a team of hard-working, collaborative, and fun-loving designers, researchers, and builders, we're looking for creative and driven talent to join the pack. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer, PracticeHub in Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA offices only to join the Chewy Enterprise Health design team. We are dedicated to the development of an industry-leading digital portal, specifically designed to enhance the efficiency of veterinary practices. As a member of a cross-functional agile team, you will be instrumental in the creation of innovative digital experiences, tailored to meet the needs of our veterinarian partners. In this role, you will transform customer and business objectives into compelling products that have purpose, simplicity, and feasibility. You will lead innovative and systems thinking across a range of products, platforms, and devices with a bias for action and a customer-centric approach. You will guide the design process from end to end, including discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototypes. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other stakeholders. You will champion cohesion and consistency to unite a growing family of products while building a culture of invention and creativity. Additionally, you will clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders, including C-suite executives, and nurture Chewy's culture and principles within the group, setting new standards for executional and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Transform customer and business objectives into compelling products that have purpose, simplicity, and feasibility.
  • Lead innovative and systems thinking across a range of products, platforms, and devices with a bias for action and a customer-centric approach.
  • Guide the design process from end to end: Discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototypes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Champion cohesion and consistency to unite a growing family of products while building a culture of invention and creativity.
  • Clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Nurture Chewy's culture and principles within the group and set new standards for executional and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience leading large-scale initiatives and mentoring designers.
  • A track record of designing high-quality digital products that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your design skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.
  • Achieved mastery of a core set of design skills in interaction design, information architecture, and user interface design.
  • Demonstrated communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that clearly communicate complex concepts across different audiences and levels of the organization.
  • A proven ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of your design decisions inside and outside your own product.
  • Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent degree) in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with the design field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Has designed animal or human health-related products like insurance, telemedicine, and/or Practice Information Management Systems (PIMS).
  • Has created simple solutions for very complicated end-to-end workflows.
  • Has examples of collaborating on and influencing the direction for relatively new products from the beginning to final release.
  • Has no problem context shifting between multiple products.
  • Proven track record of mentoring other designers.
  • Strong visual design skills.
