About the position

As a Senior Product Designer on the Save team at Rocket Money, you will design intuitive and impactful user experiences that help users manage their finances effectively. Your role will focus on enhancing user engagement with financial insights and services, particularly for those new to saving or managing debt. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly product features that empower users to take control of their financial futures.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of key product features, ensuring they are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with business goals.
• Lead the design process from concept to final execution, including wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and interaction design.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product requirements.
• Apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive and engaging experiences, informed by user research, personas, and user journey mapping.
• Conduct or collaborate on user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions, iterating on designs based on feedback.
• Utilize data and analytics to inform design choices, ensuring that designs are effective in meeting user needs and business objectives.
• Present design concepts and progress to stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale and gathering feedback.
• Innovate continuously, proposing new ways for users to engage with Rocket Money's services.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the product's design and user experience.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in user experience design or a similar role, showcasing a track record of impactful design solutions.
• Proficiency in Figma, with experience in similar tools like Sketch also valued.
• Strong understanding of how design translates into code, appreciating how design decisions impact engineering processes.
• Effective execution skills, capable of taking initiatives from concept to completion with precision and efficiency.
• Empathy towards users, ensuring meaningful experiences through design.
• Problem-solving skills, thriving on tackling challenges and finding innovative solutions.
• Open-mindedness, willing to let go of biases and compromise when necessary for project success.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative environment, regularly sharing work and welcoming feedback.
