About the position

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to craft usable, valuable, and delightful user experiences for key applications and tools that enable the manufacturing of every Apple product you know and love. This role is integral to a passionate and skilled group of developers, designers, and product professionals who care deeply about our users and the work they do. The ideal candidate should have a passion for product design, UI, and UX, with a knack for digging deep into user problems to understand and empathize with an active and opinionated user base. You will be responsible for driving a team towards simple and elegant solutions to complex design problems. In this role, you will conceive, design, and deliver user experiences and user flows, taking complex user actions and distilling them into usable interfaces. You will collaborate with product managers to balance prioritization and break down features into iterative user stories. Additionally, you will work closely with software developers to understand technical limitations and constraints, allowing you to iterate on solutions and craft viable and usable MVP-style features. Presenting and communicating lo-fi mockups, interaction designs, hi-fi user flows, prototypes, and other design documents to the product team, stakeholder groups, and organizational leadership will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will need to clearly articulate design rationale and prioritize feedback to iterate rapidly as we learn more through the design exploration process. Influencing and gaining alignment from others while being accountable for bringing critical thinking and product design strategy into all product design work is essential. Ultimately, your goal will be to ship experiences that are delightful to our users, deeply understanding and empathizing with their needs and pain points.
