About the position
Clay is a creative tool for growth, helping businesses grow without huge investments in tooling or manual labor. We are looking for sharp, low-ego people to help us turn every business's creative ideas into reality. As an early designer at Clay, you will apply a unique blend of design and product knowledge to re-imagine how working with data in Clay should feel. You will help us change the way teams work across a clunky mix of tools and spreadsheets, stuck in monotonous cycles with lots of manual work.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship core features and infrastructure across the entire product.
- Collaborate with the team, communicate openly, and give and receive thoughtful feedback.
- Take ownership of initiatives and define what is most important to work on.
- Interview users, analyze feedback, and help prioritize the roadmap based on user research studies.
- Design and prototype novel interfaces to make building software more intuitive.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in a relevant role.
- Clear design process with the ability to identify the right problems to solve and consider multiple solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on visual communication.
- Systems thinking to break down complex problems and expose simple interfaces.
- Ability to deliver pixel-perfect designs and inspire engineering partners.
- Customer-focused approach to design, constantly empathizing with customers.
