About the position

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer at our facility in Bellevue, Washington to transform customer and business objectives into compelling products that have purpose, simplicity, and are feasible to build. In this role, you will develop multiple solutions for specific challenges that can be delivered across a range of products, platforms, and devices, with a bias for action and crisp management of priorities. You will manage the design process for your projects from discovery and concept ideation through flows and wireframes to full-fidelity prototype designs. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers to ensure a cohesive and consistent design across a growing family of products. As a Senior Product Designer, you will champion cohesion and consistency in design, clearly presenting your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders, including C-suite executives. You will also nurture Chewy's culture and principles within your team and the design practice. This position requires 2% domestic travel to support project needs and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge that can be delivered across a range of products, platforms, and devices.
  • Manage the design process for your projects from discovery and concept ideation through flows and wireframes to full-fidelity prototype designs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers.
  • Champion cohesion and consistency to unite a growing family of products.
  • Clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders including C-suite executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field and 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or information architect.
  • Experience leading large-scale product design initiatives.
  • Experience delivering high quality digital products, designs, and prototypes.
  • Ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of design decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of native mobile application platforms and best practices.
  • Experience handling complex services and transactions.
