As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering user-centered product experiences that drive impact and innovation. Leveraging your expertise in design principles, research methodologies, and user-centered approaches, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and shape long-term strategies. You will champion scalable, sustainable design solutions that align with both user needs and business objectives. You have a proven ability to design products and deliver outputs including the product or platform. You also engage in community contribution to improve and maintain our culture and operations - making Affinipay a better place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Drive impactful design by delivering frameworks, principles, and designs across a wide range of projects to accelerate initiatives and align stakeholders across teams and business units.
  • Define and measure the success of designs in terms of business impact and usability, using data and metrics to drive iteration.
  • Collaborate with 1-2 development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive user experiences that meet expected outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment by leading workshops, design sprints, and discussions to resolve conflicts and prioritize opportunities.
  • Work on scalable platform solutions, leveraging and contributing to design systems and incorporating innovative technologies.
  • Collaborate with the UX Director to promote adoption and alignment across teams.
  • Incorporate accessibility standards into design solutions to ensure an inclusive user experience.
  • Conduct user research independently and collaborate with researchers to gather insights that inform design decisions.
  • Develop and refine prototypes for evaluative research and ideal-state experiences, driving iterative improvement.
  • Use storytelling, facilitation, and visualization to inspire alignment and achieve shared objectives.
  • Provide informal mentorship to junior designers, offering guidance during design critiques and collaborative sessions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field such as HCI, computer science, graphic design, or a related field, and/or equivalent of at least 5+ years of experience in UX design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes, including complex flows, detailed UI specifications, and successful cross-team collaboration.
  • Extensive experience conducting advanced user research and testing, including creating detailed user personas and conducting usability testing.
  • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as extensive experience with front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other designers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically about user needs and design solutions that meet those needs.
  • Extensive experience using design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Expert understanding of design systems and how they can be used to create consistent and scalable designs.
